If you suspect this, but you’ve already emptied the Recycle Bin, you may be able to recover it with a free file recovery program. Just make sure it was working fine before you deleted it (i.e., it wasn’t corrupted or malicious). In that common folder, open the folder of the game where the openal32.dll error is being shown. Then, go into the folder called _CommonRedist and open OpenAL. There should then be a folder titled with numbers, like 2.0.7.0—in there is where you’ll find oalinst.exe. Open that EXE file to install the missing DLL. If the hardware fails any of your tests, replace the memory or replace the hard drive as soon as possible.
